Prayer of Salvation
Rom 10:9
.....if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
NKJV
Asking Jesus to come in to your life is as simple as making the request, but is not to be taken lightly! Jesus said "Repent" and to consider the cost.
John 15:12-14
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than
this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command
you.
NKJV
Jesus made it pretty simple to inherit salvation. The two greatest commands are to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength. The other is to Love your neighbor. The Bible teaches what Love is. And if we obey him he calls us his friend. Make it your desire to honor God by learning what that means, then, live it.
1 Peter 1:15
.... but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all
your conduct,
NKJV
We are also called to live Holy lives when we follow Jesus. We may not wake up the next
morning in all perfection, but now we have a goal. And you wont be alone in your walk. When we
confess Jesus as Lord, the Holy Spirit starts doing his work in us, and we become a "Work in
Progress"! So we don't have to worry if it takes a while to figure out this walk. Just so the EFFORT
is there.
So If you want to invite the Holy Spirit in for the first time, or if you have
fallen and want to re-commit your life to him, pray this prayer.
Lord, I realize that I am a sinner, and it is only by your blood that you shed on the cross that can cleanse me. I believe that you are the Son of God, and died on the Cross for me; Then God raised you on the third day and now sit at the right hand of the Father with all authority. I want you and need you in my life. And right now I am asking you to be Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you Jesus. Amen
And if you prayed that prayer, that is exciting news. Will you write to us and share that.
Luke 15:10 .... I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner
who repents."
NKJV
