Bondage

When we talk about bondage, it could be bondage to sin, or it could be bondage because of issues in our lives. The more obvious bondage is when we sin against someone, but we do not repent. Or when there is unforgiveness, that is a bondage that can keep you from experiencing the fullness of Gods love.
There are places we give Satan a foothold (we give him opportunity to bring oppression). There are days where it seems like everybody is out to get us. Maybe it is time to do a reality check on if you offended any one (or worse) lately.

Rom 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
The Scriptures

Heb 2:14-15
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil- 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
(NIV)

2 Pet 2:17-19
These (false teachers) are fountains without water, clouds driven by a storm, to whom the blackest darkness is kept forever. 18 For speaking arrogant nonsense, they entice – through the lusts of the flesh, through indecencies – the ones who have indeed escaped from those living in delusion, 19 promising them freedom, though themselves being slaves of corruption – for one is a slave to whatever overcomes him.
The Scriptures

Rom 8:20-21
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
(NIV)

John 8:34-36
Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
NKJV

Matt 5:23-24
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
NKJV

1 Peter 3:7
Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
NKJV

I threw in the one for husbands who may wonder why their prayers are not being answered!
