Christian walk
Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that,
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
NKJV
Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised
Him from the dead, you will be saved. NKJV
Gal 5:16-18 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17
For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the
sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. (NIV)
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you
also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one
another." NKJV
1 Cor 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is
not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not
delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres.
(NIV)
1 John 2:3-6
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
(NIV)
We are Ambassadors for Jesus. We are his disciples (student). Which means our life is to reflect his very nature. Our desires are meant to be for things of God. It should be about Loving our God above all things and then loving our neighbor.
