Discipline

Heb 12:5-7
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

Prov 15:10
Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way,
And he who hates correction will die.

Prov 23:13-14
Do not withhold correction from a child,
For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die.
14 You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell.

Depending on the Child, Discipline can be either "instructing" your child in correct behavior with words, or it could mean a "Time out". It may mean a good spanking. Start with the instructions and work your way up.
