Rebuking people

2 Tim 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
NKJV

2 Tim 4:2
Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction.
NIV

2 Cor 7:8-9
Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it-I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while- 9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us.
(NIV)

Luke 17:3
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
NKJV

Gal 6:1
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
NIV

1 Tim 5:20
Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.
NKJV

Rev 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
NKJV

Many people today do not see a need for "rebuking". Yet so many people wander from the truth and make excuses for their behavior because nobody is willing to confront them with scripture. Are we willing that people should perish because we don't want to offend them?

James 5:19-20
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
NIV
